 रेलवे में बदलाव बहुत आ रहे हैं. पर जो भी बदलाव है वह भारत सरकार की बजेट से होरहा है. क्योंकि ऑपरेटिंग रेशों अभी भी नियंत्रित नहीं है. पिछले साल ये ९८.३२% है, जिससे रेलवे की अपने नेटवर्क को बढ़ाने के लिए पैसे नही है. हमने  भी रेलवे को हमेशा घाटे में चलाने के लिए मजबूर किया. हमने फ्रेट या गुड्स की जगह पैसेंजर को महत्व दिया. हम हर बजट में नई पैसेंजर ट्रेन की डिमांड करने या इसकी अपेक्षा ही करते थे. पैसेंजर ट्रेन घाटे का सौदा है , पर इसका कोई इलाज नहीं क्योंकि इतने बड़े देश में एक ही नेशनल ट्रांसपोर्ट है जो मिडिल क्लास के लिए अफोर्डेबल है. फ्रेट आपको पैसा देता है पर उसे हम अनकंपिटिटिव बना रहे है. प्रायोरिटी गलत होना ये हमें एक सफेद हाथी पालने को मजबूर कर दिया, बजट ही सही आज हम अपनी प्रायोरिटी ठीक कर है. फ्रेट के लिए अलग बजट और अलग ट्रैक हमें एक नई आशा देता है. पहले हमने कोंकण रेलवे को अलग कंपनी बनाया. पर हमारा बाबू कल्चर कोंकण रेलवे कॉर्पोरेशन को घाटे का सौदा बनाया और उसे रेलवे में मर्ज करा दिया. अब जो बदलाव आ रहा है उसमें इन्हीं बाबू की सहभागिता पूरी है. पूर्वी और पश्चिमी डेडिकेट...

पिछले दिनों डेडिकेटेड फ्रेट कॉरिडोर का काम पूर्ण हुआ. पूर्वी तथा पश्चिमी कॉरिडोर से हमने उत्तरी भारत को सोनपुर और जेएनपीटी बंदरगाह को जोड़ दिया. पश्चिम में और बंदरगाह भी ऐसे जुड़ गये.कॉस्ट वाइस ये प्रोजेक्ट थोड़ा महंगा लगता है, पर इसका फायदा क़ीमत से ज्यादा है. पूरी परियोजना कोई पचास हजार करोड़ की लागत से बना है.पहले गुड्स के यातायात का समय बहुत ज्यादा था, जिसमें अगर आप पोर्ट पर लोडिंग और अनलोडिंग का समय जोड़ दे तो हम अनकंपिटिटिव हो जाते थे. कॉस्टिंग सिर्फ यातायात का नहीं होता, आप अपने उत्पाद को बनाने के लिए समय और यातायात का समय जोड़ दे तो ये काफी ज्यादा हो जाता है.टोटल कास्टिंग बढ़ जाती है,इसमें raw मैटिरियल,लेबर अन्य खर्चे के साथ लॉजिस्टिक्स कॉस्ट भी होती है.
