- 🇮🇳 Indian Market: Last week, equity markets broke their 6-week losing streak 📊, ending flat but with a slight positive tone. The USD-INR traded in a narrow range, while FIIs stayed net sellers and DIIs remained steady buyers. The big highlight 💡 was S&P Global upgrading India’s sovereign rating to BBB from BBB- on August 14, 2025, reflecting confidence that stable policies and strong infrastructure investment will boost India’s long-term growth 🚀.


- 🌍 Global Market: Global equity markets performed well last week 📈, supported by positive economic data that raised hopes the US Fed may cut interest rates in September. The UK economy also showed signs of recovery with GDP up 0.4% in June after a small dip in May. In China 🇨🇳, stocks rallied as the US granted a 90-day pause on new tariffs, giving investors optimism 🤝 that trade talks between the two largest economies could move toward a bigger agreement.

📊 Market Update: - 🇮🇳 Indian Market: The stock market ended strongly for this week, boosted by FII inflows of Rs 5,392 Cr, soft US inflation data, RBI’s supportive stance, and solid earnings in auto, banking, and real estate sectors. Mid and Small Cap stocks outperformed 🚀. Stable trade data helped, but the rupee still fell against the dollar, pushing gold prices higher 💸. - 🌍 Global Market: Global stock markets ended the week on a high note, lifted by easing trade tensions and hopes of lower tariffs on Chinese goods. US stocks led the gains, thanks to falling inflation, strong earnings, and upbeat growth forecasts 📈. Despite some worries from Middle East and Eastern Europe tensions, markets stayed strong. Lower interest rates also made stocks more attractive than bonds 💼.

 Two nations are facing food problems in our neighborhoods. Our government just banned exports of wheat with immediate effect. Some time back we opened up the export of wheat.  The world is facing a huge deficit of wheat due to the Russia Ukraine war and unnatural heatwave in March and April this year. The production of wheat is barely up to last year. The food security for our own citizens will be under strain. But this year our farmers got a good price for their produce. Which will help them to meet their expenses with confidence for the next sowing season. The war has an effect on the world economy as everywhere we are seeing the inflation is above the comfort level of respective central banks. The cost of food is reaching a level that is unbearable for citizens worldwide.
