 History was created in our country's corporate world after merger of HDFC Ltd & HDFC Bank. The total asset base of the merged entity is big enough to claim 4th position in global ranking.

Going by the history of both entities, huge wealth has been created and distributed to the shareholders . The subsidiaries of HDFC Ltd like HDFC LIFE,HDFC SECURITIES,HDFC ERGO & others have created niche for themselves.

The all entities themselves are market leader and having reputation in their respective pear group. Regulators has given them highest ratings for their compliances.

Initially, HDFC Bank was not included in strategically important bank which was decided after 2008 financial crisis. The pact then signed by all the government  and central banks of world after financial crisis 2008, to safe guard the banking industry from any crisis.

This was discussed in several times by us, now we after not going to discuss it here. The confidence boost by this will give not only to all corporate world but also to the government and ordinary citizens.

After opening of economy to world under the pressure from IMF & World bank in 1991, the confidence of everyone was low because we were not ready for drastic changes which was not agreed by us but imposed by multilateral agencies.

Now, we are driving the world economy either managing fortune 500 companies or highest ever GDP growth rate for last three years after pandemic. Our  road infrastructure is second longest with  world class amenities. Soon we will cross the US for highest KM of road length  same is true for railway with maximum rail kilometers in double broad gauge  and electrified lines.

No. of ports both airport and sea port are handling high volume of passengers and dead weight goods.

Things are happening simultaneously with high positive impact on ground. But this is just beginning for  us and more picks are yet to be climbed.

 One small piece of news was printed on daily that the gender ratio of our country has changed from more male to more female per thousand. Means 1000:1020, i.e. for every one thousand males there is one thousand and twenty female. It is a very important development in independent India. The latest census which is underway showed the benefit of the campaign which was run by the government and the society together to save the girl child. But the malnutrition and other health issues are still a major cause of concern. Recently we were part of one discussion, namely the financial literacy amongst the female in our country. Generally, it is seen that women are not part of decisions or rather discussions of financial matters.
